Main Procedure Production Technology and Technical Characteristics of 110-500 kV High Voltage XLPE Cable

1. The VCV production line is an UHV vertical cable production line imported from Nextron, Finland, by Xinbaofeng Company. It is designed according to the production of 750kV XLPE insulated core. The vulcanization section and cooling section of the production line are all vertical. The insulating core is heated twice through the vulcanization relaxation section of the pressure steering wheel after primary cooling, and then cooled. This method can effectively eliminate the internal insulation stress caused by the thick insulation of high voltage cable core in the crosslinking process, that is, the production line is U-shaped production line. The height of the tower is 148 meters.

2. After the cable insulation is extruded, the cross-linked insulating core is treated strictly for nearly 100 hours in the degassing room of the hot air cycle according to certain technological rules. The insulating core after this treatment can effectively eliminate the gas residues in the insulating layer and provide a more reliable guarantee condition for the long-term safe operation of the cable.

3. Introduce the advanced deviation core measuring device of Sikora company in Germany to measure on-line, so that the insulation deviation core degree can be guaranteed within 3%.

4. An on-line monitoring system for insulating impurities of Sikora Company in Germany is installed on the insulating extruder, which can record the impurities, the nature, size, number of micro-holes and the position and distance from the end of the cable, thus further ensuring the insulation quality.

5. Conductor uses preheating device, preheating temperature can reach about 160 C, heat can be transferred from the surface of conductor and insulating panel in two directions, which is very helpful to improve insulation quality.

6. The cable has reliable radial and longitudinal water-blocking structure.

7. By using NCC vulcanization calculation program, the optimum screw speed, linear speed, pressure of vulcanizing pipe, crosslinking degree and temperature of each section can be calculated accurately according to cable structure.

8. The use of three-layer co-extrusion cross head, imported ultra-smooth shielding material and ultra-clean insulating material can prevent the semi-conductive layer from bulging and ensure good interface contact.

9. Nitrogen pressure of 12-14 bar can be realized to make the layers of insulating cores contact closely and prevent the discharge caused by air gap. Low temperature vulcanization process can prevent the burning of insulating materials and shielding materials.

10. Simulated drawing board of production line is equipped in the operation room, automatic alarm of failure occurs, and display position and reason. Operators can deal with it in time to ensure smooth production.

11. In the 1000-grade purity storage room which meets the requirements of FED-S1P209B, there is a gravity feeding device for super-clean materials to avoid dust invasion. Extrusion in 1000-grade purity operation room can ensure that the content of insulating impurities in crosslinked polyethylene is far below the standard requirements.

12. Dry cross-linking method and high pressure nitrogen cooling method make the core completely isolated from water to ensure that the micro-pore structure and moisture content in insulation are far below the standard requirements.

13. Five-section frame winch with pre-torsion and winch can produce 800-3000m3 partitioned conductor cable.

14. It is equipped with advanced chlorine arc welding equipment and on-line ultrasonic detection device, which ensures the sealing of aluminium welding, increases intermediate inspection, and conducts immersion air tightness test for the whole welding cable, and carries out 100% detection.

15. Introducing Swiss HAEFELY testing equipment, we can do partial discharge test, power frequency voltage withstand test, lightning impulse test and so on.

 

Usage Characteristics of 110-500 kV High Voltage XLPE Cable

1. The permissible maximum working temperature of cable conductor for a long time is 90 C, the maximum working temperature of emergency overload is 130 C, and the maximum temperature of conductor for short circuit (time < 5 seconds) is 250 C. Note: There is no uniform overload time regulation in China's electric power sector; the United States standard stipulates that when the load exceeds 10% of the rated load, the duration shall not exceed 15 minutes.
2. The ambient temperature of cable installation and laying should not be lower than - 20 C, and the cable should be preheated.

The coefficient K is 7 for copper core and 4 for aluminium core.
5. Permissible maximum lateral pressure of cable bending P
Single-core cables require P < 500kg/m.
P = T / R (T is the axial traction force, R is the radius of the bending wheel)
It can be seen from the formula that the traction force is generally determined by the length and weight of the cable. In order to make P meet the above requirements, the diameter of the turning wheel should be increased.
6. Cable laying is not limited by drop.
